Lost a dictation? It's in History.

A saved voice record can be a starting point for another draft. View its original transcript, translate it and choose between the result versions you have kept.

View the original and the finished result

Open History in the sidebar, find a record and use View original in its More actions menu. Copy the result when you want to use it in another document.

Translate without replacing earlier versions

If the original transcript is saved, choose Translate or Translate again, then select a language and translation mode. Earlier result versions remain available.

Choose which version to use

When a record has multiple saved versions, use its version selector to view a different result. You can compare the original, polished and translated results that exist for that record.

Return to a recording when it is available

Play back a saved recording, transcribe it again, or copy the text into another app.

Will translating delete my earlier result?

No. A completed history translation adds a result version. Earlier versions remain available; if translation fails, existing content is kept.

Can every record be translated or replayed?

Translation needs a saved original transcript. Playback and transcription again need saved audio. These actions are unavailable when the required content is missing.

Does my voice history follow me to another computer?

No. Voice history stays on this computer, and you choose how long it's kept.
