The publisher lists MacWhisper direct download on macOS, and the related Whisper Transcription app on macOS and iOS. Its platform documentation does not list a Windows version. SayDart offers installers for Windows x64, Mac (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Linux.
Compare the job rather than only the app name
MacWhisper's site describes dictation, recording transcription and subtitle export. SayDart is for typing with your voice, in whatever app you're in.

Move the writing workflow, not the file-conversion workflow
Click into an email, a note or an AI prompt, hold Right Alt and talk. Let go, and clean text is already there.
For a saved interview, podcast or subtitle task, choose a tool that explicitly offers those operations. A desktop dictation app does not automatically include recording import, speaker separation or subtitle export.
Look at recognition and AI processing separately
MacWhisper transcribes on your Mac with local models. SayDart runs in the cloud, so you need to be online; your history stays on your computer.
